Hi, my name is Chris Duncan. I'm an X Games pro BMXer, mountain biker and master bicycle mechanic. At the early age of 7, I could be seen jumping my Diamond Back Viper BMX bike in the lot next to my parents house everyday after school. 10 years later I was hitting the pro bmx dirt jump circuit busting out superman airs and sickest back flip & 360 variations of the 2000's.
Some career accomplishments include being a character in a PlayStation BMX video game, setting 3 world records and doing the mechanics on all my competition bikes. I've hosted countless classes on mountain biking and urban cycling techniques, given speeches on the culture of BMX and done Q&A’s all over the world about bikes designed from my input.
I launched Hooptybikes during the summer of 2009 in the heart of San Francisco's cycling scene after developing a love of restoring vintage road bikes.
In 2015 I moved the company to Los Angeles. With the same dedication and craftsmanship involved with restoring classic road bikes I grew the company into LA's leading mobile bike assembly & repair service.
